This weekend we performed at the APAP Conference in NYC. It is probably the biggest covention of musicians, agents and presentsers in the world! On January 8 we played a very successfull showcase in a great show room that was very well attended. It was also great to reconnect with our friends from the "Turtle Island String Quartet" who were showcasing later that night. Let's hope a lot of great bookings will come out of this conference for all of us!

October 17-20, 2011

For 4 days we were part of an amazing booking conference - Arts Northwest - that took place in Eugene, OR. A lot of great things happened to us after we had two very successfull showcases. First of all - numerous presenters expressed strong interest in booking us for their Concert Halls / Arts Centers. We also signed an agreement with a great agent who will be representing us for concert hall bookings. Here is his contact information:

May 8th, 2008
IST was featured in the Boston Globe article about the string groups in the Boston area. We were presented as one of the ensembles that takes the strings to a new level. Here is a short quote:
Worlds are virtually colliding in the repertoire of some string-based groups. Take the recent concert playlist of the Boston-based International String Trio. It starts with the "The Swan," by C. Saint-Sa ns and moves on to Handel, "When the Saints Go Marching In," and "Georgia on My Mind." "We're trying to push the boundaries a bit," said trio member Slava Tolstoy, a 2002 Berklee graduate and guitarist who founded the group in 1999.

April, 2008
We are proud to announce that our 2nd CD entitled Appalachia is released and available at CDBaby and iTunes! We are very happy with the results. We recorded 23 tracks and selected only the very best 12, the ones that really captured the spirit of the CD s main theme Appalachia!

February, 2008
IST is in the studio recording the new CD. We are recording all the pieces that always receive warm responses from our audiences, including some original compositions. The styles range from Appalachian folk to Classical, Pop, Tango, Irish and Israeli music.
